You need to be of a minimum standard (that is indicated on the application form). The auditions are unfortunately competitive. We sometimes find ourselves auditioning say 6 post grade 8 flautists, all of whom would be technically (and musically) suitable, but unfortunately there are only limited places to fill in an orchestra.

CSYO assembles three times a year during school holidays for training courses and concerts. Membership is open to local players under 21 years of age, subject to audition. Application forms may be obtained from Edward Woodhead or alternatively you can download it here.
